DSDN 104 - Concept drawings

Concept drawings

Some other concept drawings that I had done that i didn't realise that weren't uploaded. These are thinking about staking but also heavily looking at slots and how effective it could look, best showing the shape of my 'Hero model'. All of these I have thought to use the acrylic but in some also incorporate the card by it bending over the top to replicate some of the parts that stick out in the 'hero model'.

DSDN 142 - Process

Investigation

 Doodle Jump

Tiny Wings

Looked into some Apps that have a very simple interactions but are really effective leaving the user not wanting to stop playing the game. Doodle jump has a tilt interaction that goes from left to right and Tiny wings only has a touch interaction.

DSDN 142 - Introduction to interaction

Interaction

Had an introduction to interaction looking at how coding mouseX and mouseY can create a simple interaction with an ellipse. This is very basic and wouldn't be interesting once the user has learnt the interaction.

DSDN 104 - Fitting development

Fitting development

With the top circular piece their are slots made for the vertical pieces to be fitted into. doing it this way I believe that it will hold more firmly not falling out all the time.

DSDN 104 - 3DS Max

3DS Max development

Constructed a rough development on 3DS Max to see what my model could look like before I started to make it to be laser cut. I'm not fully sure on how many horizontal slats there will be but vertical ones i'm expecting about three on one side.

DSDN 104 - Developing

Development

To the left of the page is a drawn picture of what i though the final model could be made like. After exploring different ways i found that this would work the best showing the shape of my hero model in a unique way. to the right shows how parts of the model would be pieced together.

The idea of this came from my investigation layering material to make 3D objects.
The moose antlers is where I got the idea of the top of my model and the layering of the hand is the idea i would incorporate into the bottom of my model as a solid base.

DSDN 104 - Concepts

Concepts

Some of the ideas that I have scribbled down showing how my model can be pieced together to best fit to look how my hero model looks. Since my hero model is so everywhere with parts not attached to the model i have taken the basic shape and looking on how to build that either by staking layers or something else.
